Identifying and Demonstrating the Impacts of Research

De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel, Southampton

1 June 2009

The national agenda has most definitely moved to include the impacts of research. This can be seen in terms of Government policy which therefore, affects Research Council activities and HEFCE's definition of the Research Excellent Framework - and it impacts on other research funders' interests in seeing the results of research promulgated and translated into practical use.

This half-day seminar will explore the current developments, with speakers from RCUK, HEFCE, the Wellcome Trust and an HEI.

Target Audience

Those involved in institutional and departmental responses to changing Government policy, including preparation for the REF, collection and management of information about research outputs and support of project proposals.

Presenters

Liz Allen (Wellcome Trust)

Alf Game (Innovation & Skills Directorate, BBSRC)

Paul Hubbard (HEFCE)

Andew Walsh (Manchester University)
