Executive Forum

Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow

Monday 6 June 2011

The forum once again tookthe form of a facilitated, interactive discussion.  Participants contributed to a detailed discussion on two selected topics, following a short introduction of the relevant key issues. In order to ensure that the exchanges were open and constructive, they took place under the 'Chatham House' rule, namely that no comments will be reported or attributed outside the meeting in a way which can identify the source.

Discussion Topics

The topics for this year's meeting were:

  • Doing more with less:  Post-Wakeham implications
  • The prospects and effects of concentration

Target Audience

The meeting was aimed at Directors/Heads of Research Offices and those in relevant managerial positions.  The programme allowed networking opportunities over coffee and lunch.

The success of the forum depends on the interaction between participants so the event was limited to 15 places.

Presenters

The forum was chaired by Dr Ian Carter.
