Executive Forum

The Midland Hotel, Manchester

Monday 7 June 2010

The forum will once again take the form of a facilitated, interactive discussion.  Participants will contribute to a detailed discussion on two selected topics, folowing a short introduction of the relevant key issues. In order to ensure that the exchanges are open and constructive, they will take place under the 'Chatham House' rule, namely that no comments will be reported or attributed outside the meeting in a way which can identify the source.

Discussion Topics

The topics for this year's meeting are:

  • Engaging research management in the institutional planning process
  • Managing one's team in the current climate

Target Audience

The meeting is aimed at Directors/Heads of Research Offices and those in relevant managerial positions.  The programme will allow networking opportunities over coffee and lunch.

The success of the forum depends on the interaction between participants so the event is limited to 15 places.
