Poster Exhibition 2009

Call for Posters: ARMA Conference 2010

"Making an Impact" - The Midland Hotel, Manchester 8/9th June

Exhibit your ideas and share best practice

For the fourth successive year, the ARMA conference 2010 will include a poster exhibition to showcase research management/administrative activities, new developments in our sector and to share best practice within a wide community of conference delegates. In 2010 the exhibition will open in the Edwardian style Wyvern Room and then throughout the conference in the Alexandra Suite at the Midland Hotel in central Manchester.  By producing a poster, this will provide an exciting opportunity to publicise your ideas to new audiences and to make useful contacts. There will also be the opportunity to be awarded the Conference Poster Prize.

Application Procedure

Q.  Do I need to make a poster to apply?

A.  No, all you have to do is write a proposal about what you want to communicate in your poster.

Research managers and administrators who wish to apply to take part in the ARMA Conference 2010 Poster Exhibition should complete a poster proposal form, which must be sent by email to Anna Harding (aijh1@le.ac.uk) no later than 31st March 2010.  Applications will be assessed on their merit and suitability by a small panel of ARMA Board members.  Once these forms have been received, we will advise applicants as to the status of their poster proposal has been accepted by 27th April (i.e. acceptance or otherwise).

Successful applicants will be invited to produce and subsequently present their posters on Monday 7th June 2009 (early evening). This will coincide with the drinks reception for conference newcomers.

A note of encouragement from the Poster Exhibition Co-ordinator, Anna Harding

"I produced a poster for last year's ARMA Conference and can thoroughly recommend taking part. I felt a sense of achievement and, by participating, it allowed me to do something a little different from my usual day-to-day work responsibilities. In addition, I produced amy poster witha colleague from another department which enableed us to combine our skills and to get to know eachother better.

Posters can be designed using Microsoft Powerpoint. HEI's will usually have facilities for printing/laminating and will package the poster for you at a fairly reasonable price.

I look forward to seeing your poster abstracts and to meeting you in Manchester in June.
