Terms and Conditions of bookings for ARMA events
For tax reasons, ARMA events are open to members only. If you are not yet a member, you will be able to join in the course of making your booking. Your membership will be fully activated once we have received your payment. If you are already a member, you will be required to use your membership number when booking. If you have recently joined ARMA in the course of booking for another event, but have not yet received a membership number, you can make your booking from this page.
If you are already a member but you cannot remember your six-digit membership number, please ask us what it is, and make a note of it for future reference. In the period March-June of each year, you have the option of renewing your annual membership (to March the following year) at the same time as making the booking, in which case you will pay the non-members price.
After raising your invoice in My Ledger, the ARMA online booking system produces an invoice on-screen. Please print the invoice out and pass it for payment in the normal way. You must proceed through the booking system and print out your invoice, otherwise your booking will not be confirmed. You will not receive an invoice by post. You will receive a confirmation message by email, normally within two working days of making your booking. Please do not pass the invoice for payment until you have received this confirmation. If you do not receive this confirmation, please contact us to confirm whether your reservation was received.

If you are unable to attend the event, you may send a substitute. If a member wishes to send a non-member as a substitute, the non-member will be liable to pay an additional £63, including membership of ARMA (for the period until 31 March the following year). Please inform us by replying to your original confirmation email, if you wish to make a substitution. If you are unable to send a substitute, then a refund may be available (less an administrative charge of £50), provided that we are able to re-sell the place. Otherwise you will remain liable for the full amount of the invoice.
The organisers reserve the right to cancel the programme. In the event of the programme being cancelled, all payments will be refunded in full. However the organisers cannot be responsible for any other costs incurred by prospective participants. If the event is oversubscribed, later applicants will be notified by email that they are on a waiting list, and will be accommodated if another place becomes available.
Participants should note that they are responsible for insuring any equipment which they choose to bring with them to the event (e.g. laptops). Neither the venue nor ARMA will be liable for any loss or damage incurred.
