Association of Research Managers and Administrators UK
ARMA is the professional association for research managers and administrators in the UK. Our members work in a variety of organisations, including universities, funding bodies, the NHS and independent research organisations, as well as organisations providing services to research support offices. Our activities are focused on encouraging professional development and networking amongst research managers and administrators.
To keep members up to date with developments in the field, we provide a series of training and information events (see below), including an Annual Conference, a series of one-day seminars, a structured programme of training courses and short Study Tours. We also support the exchange of knowledge and best practice through focused email Special Interest Groups and provide the opportunity for members to advertise research posts.
We also publish a series of Occasional Papers to which members are encouraged to contribute, and offer a small number of bursaries to support individual professional development activities. We also collaborate actively with our sister associations overseas.
